Thanks, Russel. I do use Ghostery, maybe that's why I only see one or two when I check Safari, and some of my colleagues see dozens?

There is a bug in v5.8.1 from the Mac App Store, but v5.8.2 has finally been approved, and should be available within the hour.

V5.8.2 takes me into an endless loop asking me to login into my App Store account.

Message reads "Cookie 5 was purchased using the App Store on another computer. To use "Cookie 5" on this computer, sign in using the Apple ID and password to purchase it.

What can we do to fix this?
    ~Mark M

After a restart - and another update it seems to be fixed now... Thank You!

    Ok, make sense.

Thanks for your answer, I was afraid something failed during installation. I'm happy to see that's the normal behavior.

I think I found the problem.  Apparently, I had put the scripts in the wrong folder.

    That’s great!

if you use the Global Preferences hotkey:
    ⌘ + ,

Then Disable "Run Cookie in the Background" on the Advanced tab,
    and use:
    Show Cookie in the MenuBar
    and Hide Dock Icon

you can just check "Tracking Cookies" on the "Select Unwanted Data" tab in Cookie's main window

    Answering to myself :

Theres no iCloud sync available just yet,
You need to copy this folder across if you want to manually sync:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.Cookie5/Data/Library/Application Support/Cookie5/

I think it is actually handoff, which is the culprit.
If you disable Handoff on your iPhone (iPad...) it should fix the re-occuring History

Cookie doesn't block cookies - it just makes it easy to remove them.
you could set up a timer if you don't close Safari very often - although I recommend clearing non-favs etc.. on a browser quit

    Thank you for the response.

I'm not sure which they are but - most likely cached cookies. Since a quit and restart Safari "apparently" eliminates all those cookies that are not set as favourites in Cookie, it sounds as though that is what is happening.  Cookie does delete them but it's not reflected in Safari until it's done a restart.  If that is the case then I think Cookie is probably working as intended.

In the past Cookie would show in red those cookies marked as tracking ones.  Now it simply lists that there are X number tracking cookies.  It would be good if the old behaviour could return.

If you open Cookie Preferences, there are options on the Display tab
