How do you search?

Great, this did the trick. The gone firefox profile no longer appears in console.app.

The remaining entries are:

Are those of any concern? Can I do something about them?

I didn't even know cookie 6 was in the making...

You need to bring up the main window, make it active. Then use the key combination: ("COMMAND" + ",") to bring up the preference window.

try re-running the setup.
you can open the setup from the Advanced tab in Preferences.

try this:

disable the TImer, open the Advanced panel in Preferences push the Button “Remove All Sandbox Permissions” click the "Open Setup Window" button skip through to the "Choose Browsers" tab disable one browser (any browser) reenable that browser skip through to the end, and re-open Cookie

Cache removal is a must to remove ever-cookies.
It is also is all or nothing in Cookie - there is no distinguishing between favorite and non-favourite sites during cache removal. This is usually not an issue as any data which needs to be retained for login details tends to be stored in http-cookies or Local Storage/Databases.

There is no harm in removing cache cookies, although i wouldn't recommend it whilst the browser is still running as it can cause issues on some sites.

and, I think you should be ok enabling cache removal immediately, as no reputable sites store anything of much use in the cache...

huh, wasn't aware that this is such a challange. As Cookie is able to distinguish that a certain cookie belongs to what I call "top level domain", I thought that would be a breeze. Something like "oh, there's a new cookie! → does the TLD have a check mark? → YES → then this is a favorite as well". ? Okay, but it isn't that easy, right?

I'm seeing the same thing; spinning gear is nearly always present in the menubar. It says "100% completed (1 of 1)". It would be nice if it would appear while active, and then go away.

I'm running OS 10.11.5 Beta (15F24b)... maybe that's in play here? My version of Cookie is 5.0.5, and NOT on the beta track with Cookie.

How about floating, popup tool tips on just about everything? A switch to turn them off in the preferences?

Thank you for your timely reply. I purchased your app through the Apple Store so I'll wait for the update you mentioned. Thanks also for explaining the heart/dot/star columns. Like you, I usually use Safari but I've been having some issues lately where Facebook will slowly claim more and more RAM until my system is virtually locked up. One day it was using 6GB of the 8GB on my system. And it only happens in Safari…Chrome seems okay. But that's why I've been using Chrome more and I realize that is way TMI for this thread.
