the window behaviour was an easy fix, it was old code from Cookie4 which I can't remember why i made it function that way.... probably a compatibility issue with Snow Leopard...
Thanks for that. The Command , worked and I was able to get the cookie icon back into the menu bar. I did not have the Run cookie in Background checked but everything had been set to hide on the display menu. I have it running only in the menu bar now. Many thanks once again.
On starting my mac I always see Flash Global preferences file (1) in my cookies window. It wont delete them unless I click remove. Why do these not get removed?
this means that Cookie can alter(delete/change) any file in your home directory.
I guess if somehow your copy of Cookie became compromised in some way, bad stuff could happen...
this is true of any app which requires broad access permissions - virtually any Utility type app.
there is a crash that has been introduced into v5.0.7 which affects some users. Ive just uploaded v5.0.8 to Apple which should be available hopefully tomorrow.
I am having the same issue. In fact, it also happened for me with Cookie 4 and it's why I upgraded to Cookie 5 (hoping the issues had been resolved). It's definitely has something to do with how iCloud syncs the browsing history. Honestly, it makes me regret upgrading to Cooke 5.0... Why spend the money on the upgrade to get the same functionality?
