    @sweetp said in Randomize Always Wingtech?:

    @milo strange...
    have you tried updating the Vendor database from the Vendor Data tab in Preferences?

    Yes, more than once.

    @sweetp
    Well, I must say that I am not 100% sure if it actually worked with the Wifi. It did change the MAC-address for the network card en0, which I recently realized is the ethernet card. And I did have the ethernet cable connected earlier. Only later I realized I was not observing it changing the en1 (Wifi) MAC so I don't actually know if it worked with the Wifi or not at any time.

    So, IMO it can be one of the following:

    WifiSpoof never worked with late 2009 (or late 2010) iMac Wifi card it did but Wifispoof update caused it to stop working or updating Mac OS Sierra to High Sierra + possibly one or both things above = not compatible

    If you have a Mac from 2018 or newer, then you need to be using macOS Catalina (or newer)

    MAC address spoofing is disabled (by macOS) for these devices.

    @themainaccount have you recently upgraded from an earlier version of WiFiSpoof?

    if so, you may need to reset, as there was an internal database migration a while back. what you can try is this:

    delete the following folder:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.com.sweetpproductions.WiFiSpoofApp

    @PixelGrinch I would ask Apple for a refund...
    I don’t have much hope for them fixing what they broke on the new mbp’s unfortunately.

    Do you use a 2018 MacBook Pro? if so, WiFiSpoof is not compatible - as the ability has been crippled by Apple.

    Otherwise, the change button only becomes active if you manually change the Address in the MAC address field.

    The scrolling field is an advanced option, which allows you to spoof your address (using the randomize button) as the listed vendor. For example, perhaps you want your computer to still identify as an Apple device after spoofing - you would select one of the Apple Inc options.

    The vendor list is sourced from https://www.ieee.org, and all networking devices are identifiable according to this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organizationally_unique_identifier.

    maybe try a full reset of WiFiSpoof, by deleting this folder:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.WiFiSpoofApp

    if it the crash happens again, could you email the full crash log to [email protected]

    Thank you for reply.
    I have a MacBookPro Retina mid 2012 and I am not able to choose nothing than en0 and bridge0
    I tried to deal with virtual interface in Network Settings, but I cannot change the bridge0 as Thunderbolt or ethernet Thunderbolt.
    If I try to add a new virtual interface as ethernet Thunderbolt, all my settings of all my different networks vanish and I have to set them from zero.
    May you help me to set the wired cable to use WifiSpoof functions?

    WiFiSpoof isn't compatible with the new 2018 MacBook Pro. Apple has disabled the ability to spoof your MAC Address on these machines
