Folder Permissions

Re: Cookie keeps asking for folder permissions
I am having this issue on install. I hope it's your latest Big Sur drop since I got it from the App Store. I can't get pass the "Cookie needs to access to this path to continue" message. As someone stated, it's an interminable loop.

@don-cleveland can you open Preferences?
if so, open the Advanced tab and click Remove all Sandbox Permissions -
Negative. I am in a Finder menu that keeps asking for permissions. There is no Cookie app box displayed.

@don-cleveland you may need to rest Cookie. Delete this folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.CookieAppAlso did you give cookie global access? Or did you enable access to seperate disk folders?

Cleaned up and functioning. Thanks for the assist ...

I've a similar issue with the Finder permission request on start up of Cookie but the folder suggested for deletion does not exist. I've deleted the app and reinstalled but with the same result. On starting Cookie the finder window asking 'Cookie needs to access this path to continue' persists regardless of 'Allow or Cancel'.

Sadly I cannot access the app as the message persists above all else. The app and options are visible but the message window seeking to access Application Support is the only selection available.

Ok,
then you definitely need to reset Cookie by deleting this folder.
~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.CookieAppif youre running macOS Big Sur, it been renamed:
~/Library/Containers/CookieNote that this is in the User library!
so may be hidden by default
here's a quick primer on the user library:
