      Running macOS 12.3, Cookie just updated last night via AppStore, now continually asks for access to ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia (which is an empty directory). I allow access and it simply asks again. Canot quit Cookie through menu. need to quit through Activity Monitor command

      I am currently running without Cookie, which is a pain in the tailbone

        Same problem but different directories: Library/Preferences and Chrome/Default. MacOS 12.2.1

          Exact same problem. The pop-up says "cookie needs to access this path to continue. Click allow to continue." It's asking access to a Multimedia folder that doesn't exist on my computer! Clicking on "allow" or "cancel" multiple times will eventually allow cookie to delete cookies and quite normally. Once you restart cookie, however, the same problem occurs instantaneously.

            Try this;
            In the permissions window which shows up:

            • Click the Remove all Sandbox permissions button near the bottom of the window.
            • Restart Cookie
            • re-enable your browsers

              @SweetP That appears to have worked, although it seemed to get into a loop removing the Sandbox permissions and I quit it via Activity Monitor.

              I removed Cookie using AppCleaner and threw in a system restart after deleting it for good measure.

              Things appear to be back to normal

                Version 6.7.1 is available now, and I believe it finally fixes this issue
