Immediately after installing this security update, Cookie began requesting access to the Google folder in ~Library/Application Support. Neither granting nor canceling got out of the repeating loop. I tried removing all cookie-related startup items, but that didn't help! Had to also remove Cookie 6.3.4 from the Applications folder... I miss it!

        If you can open Preferences,
        go to the Advanced tab,
        click "Remove all Sandbox permissions"

otherwise, you can reset Cookie by deleting this folder:
        ~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.CookieApp

First, I tried starting Cookie manually while in Safe Boot mode, but this didn't help... same loop. I then tried temporarily renaming this Google folder in Application Support, just to see what that would do (why look at Google's folder?) and the same repeating dialog would now ask for access to the entire Application Support folder. With the dialog present, it's unfortunately impossible to access the Preferences, so I guess I'll delete the folder you suggested and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion!

That (...reset Cookie by deleting this folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.CookieApp) did the trick...Many thanks! I'm starting fresh, but working again!

I am using Big Sur, just upgraded from Catalina, but in recent days I have had the same issue as the one reported by the other user (both on Catalina and on Big Sur). This makes Cookie useless.
                  Ā
I have attempted to follow the advice that has helped the other user solve the issue, but:

                  1. Due to the constant flow of notifications for approving access that block anything else in the app, I am never fast enough for reaching the preferences.

                  2. In /Library/Containers/ there is nothing such as com.sweetpproductions.CookieApp - I see com.surteesstudios.BartenderWindowHelper followed by com.syniumsoftware.macfamilytree7, but nothing in between. A search on the disk has yielded no such folder.

Maybe it is found elsewhere on Big Sur, or maybe I should remove something else?

A solution would be much appreciated, since I am using your app several times a week

On Big Sur the folder is:
                    ~/Library/Containers/Cookie

Make sure you are looking in the User Library:

@sweetp Since I had not received a notification, I have only discovered your answer today.

It has worked fine. Thank you for helping me to solve the issue!
