    I have set up Cookie 6 to delete the non-favorite data, history, caches, cookies, etc. This is set up to delete them when the browser quits. However, the next time I start Safari, I see all the sites still listed in Manage Website Data?

    I wonder what I might be doing incorrectly as I tried the simple interface set to Paranoid and using selections in advanced panes. Either way, they do not get deleted. I have to manually delete website data within Safari preference. I am running on Big Sur.

    Are you waiting long enough after quitting Safari for the removal tasks to finish?
    If you have Cookie set to show notifications, cleaning is done after the notification shows.

    it can take unto 20s for the (cache removal in particular) to finish

    @sweetp I have similar problems as @stumpapi.
    Cookie 6.3.2 with hard disk access. App Store version with cookie scripts.
    However, under Catalina 10.15.7. and Safari 14.0.1.
    If I look at the website data in Safari, the cache remains. Cookies and local storage are cleared, but not the cache.

    @tomthethomse try running this command in Applications/Terminal.app

    chmod +x ~/Library/Application\ Scripts/com.sweetpproductions.CookieApp/clearSafariHistory.sh

    @sweetp Thank you for the suggested solution. But unfortunately, the execution of the command has not shown any effect.
    At the moment only the way via "Developer" and "Clear cache" in Safari works.
    v6.3.3

    @sweetp I completely deleted the App Store version (including the scripts) and downloaded the trial version from your website. It works fine with this one. Strange.

    That’s great, send me an email at [email protected] and I can send you a license for the store version
