When starting, it keeps requesting a permission interminably. Seems to be for Library/Preferences. I keep allowing, it keeps popping up.

RE: Strange behavior today in v5.5.8
That wasn't it, but I redid preferences, and it returned to normal. Thanks anyway.

Strange behavior today in v5.5.8
Starting this afternoon (earlier in the day it was OK), three things are happening:
-
The icon now shows as white on black instead of the other way around,
-
I no longer have access to the dropdown menu from the icon - all entries are there, but greyed out. Display varies between normal, and once suddenly showed 863 cookies, which was spurious and way wrong.
Help?!

RE: Issue - not problem
Happy to report that version 5.5.2 seems to have corrected this. Interestingly, while it works, there is a slight delay - while the menu is first displayed - before the pick is activated.

RE: Issue - not problem
This issue has not gone away. And it seems less predictable as well. Most times, the first look shows the "Remove Unwanted Safari Data" to be missing. Sometimes, later on in a session, it goes missing again after several good attempts. I can always get it back by clicking on the desktop and trying again. Strange.

RE: Issue - not problem
Well, 5.2.1 appeared so soon after my initial post, I thought it had been corrected. Strangely, it seemed to be for one or two iterations of the sequence. Now, however, it reappears after each reboot. Was it thought to have been corrected, or is this just a coincidence? Thanks.

Issue - not problem
I am running 5.2 on Sierra 10.12.1. Since the last upgrade, each first time I want to "Remove Unwanted Safari Data" after a restart of Safari, that pick is greyed out. I simply click on the desktop and try again, and it is then highlighted. Easy to get around, but an issue?

RE: Broken and can't reinstall
I went to the App Store, DLed it, and it installed fine. Problem solved.
It isn't easy getting/being old.

RE: Broken and can't reinstall
Ah yes. It probably happened because I couldn't figure out how to DL 5.x from your site, so got it from Apple. Then I upgraded from your site.
Having said that, how do I make things right?

Broken and can't reinstall
I am (have been for some time)Â running 5.0.3 on OS X 10.11.3 and Safari 9.0.3.
I went to delete unwanted cookies, and the spinning gear next to the menu bar icon never stopped. I restarted the system (the gear did not reappear), but it still shows a ton of unwanted cookies, etc. But the menu shows all entries dimmed so I can't choose the delete pick. I quit Cookie and tried to reinstall it, but I can't replace the app because it is running. I can't manually trash the app because it is open. Help!
