Mojave -- Cookie five latest version from App Store is running and working. If I open it in from applications folder, there is no menu at the top, no way to get to preferences. I have tried to throw it away to reinstall, but it is running and can not be deleted. any ideas? Love the application.

what you need to do is this:

    • open Cookie,
    • while the window is active - press COMMAND & COMMA (⌘ ,) to open Preferences
    • on the Advanced tab - uncheck: Run Cookie in the Background

I just started having an issue with the Cookie (MAS and non-MAS beta) menu bar icon on 10.13.6, all of a sudden the menubar icon is greyed-out.

@Timmy said in Cooke is running, but no menu or settings icon:

    OK. I'm an idiot!
I had accidentally 'Paused Automatic Removal.'
    Carry on...
