    Hello!
Just installed cookie via app store on my macbook. I configured cookie to delete mostly everything but on favorite cookie. Cookie has to do its job when I close safari.

I recognize that cookie deletes all the cookies - but not the complete cache of my safari. About 4500 kByte are left every time.

Can this be explained - or is it a bug?

    Best regards!

        Hello!
        The location is:
        /Users/xxxx/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/Bookmarks/

        Best regards!

          ok,

Cookie doesn't currently clear this location, I'll look into it, and make sure nothing important is deleted before adding it into an update.

          thanks.
          🙂

I just checked, Im pretty sure these are Bookmarks. Removing them would kill any bookmarks saved by the user.

              Hello!
              thanks for checking so quick.
You seem to be right - at least partly. For me it also looked like the files were related to my bookmarks. I deleted some of my bookmarks. Some of the files in the mentioned folder were gone too.
I also use CCleaner sometimes - and CCleaner deletes the files completely. My bookmarks are not deleted. It seems like safari restores the files somehow...

So - no problem at all. But deleting the files would look a little "cleaner" 😉

              Best regards!

They are more than likely being restored from iCloud. But I'm not 100% sure...
The problem is if cookie deleted then and a user doesn't have iCloud enabled(and I'm right) all their bookmarks would be lost...

I'm not using iCloud - so that can't be the reason...
