App Store Helper App

Where is the Helper Tool installed? I cannot find anything in the Application Support folder. So I can't drag it over to permit Full Disk access. It installs without warnings, except for the warning from apple that it cannot be scanned for Malware. In the Security settings with "Open anyway" it is opened and installs fine. But it is not listed in the Full Disk access panel.

The correct folder is below:
~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.USBclean/Data/Library/Application Support/USBcleanUSBclean will open the correct folder if you click the link in Step 3 on https://sweetpproductions.com/products/usbclean/removal.htm

I could not find the Helper Tool in that folder. It was only installed in the path with the user mrqwirk, I had to change permission to the folder USBClean and there it was. I copied it over in the folder specified above, granted Full Disk Access and now it works. Somehow it wasn't installed in the folder above (at least in may system) through the .pkg installer.

I have the exact same problem. The helper tool extracts in the mrqwirk user folder it creates, not my own Library and to move it to ~/Library/Containers/… I had to use the Suspicious Package app and extract it manually. I gave both the main app and the helper tool Full Disk Access, but it still does not clean ._ files or, in fact, any files. It just refuses to clean and eject drives I throw at it. On one of my Macs, the main app stays the helper tool is out of date even though I’d just installed it. On another Mac it does not but it still does not work properly. I just bought the app, because the trial version worked properly, but now I have to say I regret my Mac App Store purchase. Thanks for looking into it.

It is working for me. I did get the outdated message. I started the HelperTool manually (weird enough the Mac asked for permission for the removable drive) and then restarted the Mac. After that it worked. When I drag the drive into the window it takes a while, then it is ejected, only difference is that the eject button grays out instantly. The log shows all files deleted ( especially ._) I think it is a problem with permissions.

Ive uploaded a better installer.
It is now signed and notarised by Apple so you won't get annoying messages.
It also has some notes during the process, with links to open the installation folder and also System Settings to the Full Disk Access tab.It also most importantly, now installs to the correct location
sorry for the inconvenience folks.
Ive never distributed a .pkg file before, so its all new to me -
thank you!!
I can finally use USBclean.
I purchased USBclean from the App Store in January, but I was never able to use it.
It was worth the wait.
I'm very happy.P.S.
I'm using macOS15.3. -
