    Cookie offered an update last night (6.5.5) which I accepted. Now it will not open.

      do you have any crash logs in ~/Logs/DiagnosticReports
      could you send them to me:

        Sorry. I don't know how to find ~logs.diagnostic reports.

            @fpc Can I just delete Cookie, download it, & reinstall it?

              If you open the Finder
              click on the GO menu
              click on Go To Folder...
              enter ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

              then you will be presented with the correct folder
