ScreenSaver Start not working in Yosemite after upgrade to version 2

After Upgrading to version 2 of ScreenSaver Start in the Mac App Store, I'm no longer able to get the product to work properly. I can start the screensaver from the application menu bar icon. However, when I try to launch my screensaver using the hot key combo configured in ScreenSaver Start, my screensaver starts but immediately exits back to the desktop. The previous version of ScreenSaver Start did not have this problem. I'm running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2. Any thoughts on how to correct this problem? Many thanks.
