It seems that people using macOS High Sierra, are left without an official session manager, as SessionRestoreJS (as are all Safari Extensions) has been deprecated in Safari 12.1 - and SessionRestore is macOS 10.14.5+!

So, I have created a utility, to get your precious session data.

    1. SRExport
All you need to do is drag any compatible data file onto the drop zone:

    Exported data from

    • SessionRestore
    • SessionRestoreJS
    • Sessions
    • or the com.apple.Safari.Extensions.plist from Safari

This will convert the file to SessionRestore formatted JSON. There is also the option to export to a simple url list or regular JSON.

The com.apple.Safari.Extensions.plist will be in one of the following locations:

    • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.Extensions.plist
    • ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Safari/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.Extensions.plist
