Cooke is running, but no menu or settings icon

Mojave -- Cookie five latest version from App Store is running and working. If I open it in from applications folder, there is no menu at the top, no way to get to preferences. I have tried to throw it away to reinstall, but it is running and can not be deleted. any ideas? Love the application.

what you need to do is this:
- open Cookie,
- while the window is active - press
COMMAND
&COMMA
(⌘ ,)
to open Preferences - on the Advanced tab - uncheck:
Run Cookie in the Background

Thank you, sorry my search did not find that.

I just started having an issue with the Cookie (MAS and non-MAS beta) menu bar icon on 10.13.6, all of a sudden the menubar icon is greyed-out.
