Search History Not Clearing

Safari 6.0.3. As expected, the history under the "History" menu item clears (I've got Cookies set to clear history on quit). However, the search history available by clicking on the magnifying glass in the combined URL/Search entry window DOES NOT CLEAR. Is this expected? Or a bug? Or simply not accounted for? Please advise. Thank you.

I left this out of the Mac App Store version, as it would violate Apple's guidelines...
but you can enable it:
- by opening up Terminal.app
- paste this command into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.sweetpproductions.Cookie clearSafariSearchHistory YES - press Return
it should now work.
