Latest update failed to work

I got the prompt to update Cookie, It then prompted me to quit to allow the install. This was done. However whilst updating it told me the app was damaged and to delete it and reinstall from the app store. Which I did, but in the App store there is only to option to open the app, I have deleted it and emptied the trash. But it still will njot install?

if you hold the OPTION key when you press the download button, i think it forces the install
