"access to entire home folder"

One of the App Store reviews says that Cookie 5 wants "access to entire home folder which is insane..."
Uh, what does this theoretically mean and based on that would it be considered insane by the average person?

I made it this way to avoid multiple permissions Windows. Earlier versions had major issues with permissions requests... Cookie4 actually has access to the entire computer!

can you elaborate on the potential consequences? the OP asked about that and I'd be curious to learn as well.

this means that Cookie can alter(delete/change) any file in your home directory.
I guess if somehow your copy of Cookie became compromised in some way, bad stuff could happen...

this is true of any app which requires broad access permissions - virtually any Utility type app.
