Cookie 7.8 doesn't detect it has full disk access in Ventura 13.7.5
I'm using an iMac 27 model 18,3 , a late 2017 with 24GB RAM. After updating to Ventura 13.7.5 Cookie doesn't detect that it has full disk access, even though it's enabled.
I imagine I need to delete some Cookie related files/extensions, but not sure where to look. I already deleted and re-installed the app, with no success.
I'd appreciate any thoughts!

This is interesting,
Ive had a few ppl now with the same issue on macOS 13.7.5 - I can't recreate it thoughwhat seems to work is removing all sandbox permissions (you can do this in the Advanced tab in Settings)
Then re-enable your browsers, but choose to give individual folder access rather than Global access.

@Robson did you do a computer restart?
try removing browser permissions then restart you computer before restarting Cookie -
I have the same issue.
When I follow your steps for a full reset I find a container I do not have the same container folder. Mine is: com.sweetpproductions.cookie.app.LoginHelper
Should I delete this one? -
@SomebodyHere you shouldn't need to remove that folder to fix this issue
-
Try a full reset:
- Quit cookie
- Delete this folder:
~/Library/Containers/Cookie (~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.cookie.app) - Restart your computer
- Run through Cookie setup
- Make sure cookie has full disk access in system settings
@SweetP said in Cookie 7.8 doesn't detect full disk access after 13.7.5 Ventura update:
Delete this folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.cookie.appAs other users have said, they couldn't find that folder in ~/Library/Containers/ and neither could I (I'm running MacOS 15.4.1). However, when I used Find Any File to show me all occurrences of 'com.sweetpproductions.cookie.app' I found this:
So in the Finder window for Containers I CTRL-clicked on the path that I have shown at the bottom of my Finder windows and chose 'Copy "Cookie" as path name". When I pasted this path into a plain text file (BBEdit) this is what came out: ~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.cookie.app
although it appears in Finder as ~/Libarary/Containers/Cookie
Bizarre! What you see is NOT what you get!
Once I quit Cookie, deleted this 'Containers/Cookie' folder, restarted my Mac and ran through the Cookie setup, I could enable it for Safari as well as Firefox. -
@mstall sorry yes you are correct. The full folder path is
~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions.cookie.app
but the finder actually displays it as~/Library/Containers/Cookie
It is definitely a little confusing. I wrote the full path because I wasn't sure if macOS Ventura showed the full path or the abbreviated path... it must be macOS 12 which shows the full path. apologies for the confusion.
