Cookie 7 high memory usage

Macbook Pro M3 Max (36GB RAM)

Cookie v7.4.6

For a while now I've noticed that Cookie is consistently using 500MB+ despite being mostly idle. I have it set to Simple View with the slider set to Safe.

Activity Monitor reports 605MB Real Memory which seems excessive. This does not change even when system memory pressure is high. I have Brave, Safari, and Orion installed but at time of the below screenshot none of them are open.

Is this expected or abnormal?

Can you try the last beta and let me know if it’s better for you. It’s available from the Updares tab in settings. (But only on the version from my Store)
