I think something broke with the most recent version of Hides. Now, some (not all) of the time, when I select a new app in the dock, instead of the current app hiding and the new one appearing, I see the desktop, with all apps hidden. I then have to click the app a second time to get it to come to the front. It definitely doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to be annoying. I don't see a pattern to why it does or doesn't happen, but I do think it is more likely when I haven't switched apps in awhile.

@SweetP Monterey, and everything is up to date. It's still happening all the time, I think I need to stop using the app until it is fixed. It's still intermittent, but sometimes it happens every time I switch apps.

I use one other sort of related app, which is Camouflage, which hides desktop icons from view. But it doesn't really have anything to do with hiding apps per se. And Hides worked fine for months before this problem cropped up.

@SweetP I turned off Camouflage and it made no difference. But I have an update: it seems to only happen with Apple apps, and almost entirely with Safari, though I think I just noticed it happen with Books. But I can recreate it pretty easily by going back and forth to Safari

@SweetP Here's a video of it happening over and over again. At the end, you can see me selecting Safari a second time to force the window to appear: https://share.cleanshot.com/M5reNF

@ajanjigian I can't reproduce this, do you have any other user accounts on your computer. Does it also happen there?

@SweetP I do, but I don't use them. If I can find the time, I'll try it out there.

Here's some more intel: I upgraded to Ventura and the app worked great for about 4 days, and then the issue began creeping up again today.

@SweetP Also: if I wanted to delete the prefs for Hides, where would I find them?
