WiFiSpoof won't change MAC address
-
I have a brand new MBP 15" with High Sierra 10.13.6 and onboard AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x7BF) 802.11ac nic.
When I try to set a MAC address it jumps back to the default address immediatel.
When I try to apply a rule the whole top bar and every control element starts flickering. Seems like WIFISpoof and the Mac would fight for the right setting.I also tried to set the address via ifconfig, disconnected the wifi network and even disabled the system integrity protection (csrutil disable) via rescue system – no success at all.

Is this one of the 2018 MacBook pros?
Someone else had the same issue with one of the new machines
-
Yes, exactly.
-
Have the same problem with exactly the same laptop model. Purchased just yesterday and it is not working.
-
I have the same problem.
-
Any news here?
-
I don’t have a 2018 to test on...
-
Same issue here on a brand new 2018 13".
Thunderbolt mac change works, wifi does not.
I have just paid 20+ EUR in the App Store to upgrade from 1.2.5 as that didn't work anymore too. Hope this matter will be resolved soon, otherwise I unfortunately have to demand refund.
Please keep us updated if you require any debug info or testing.

is it possible to spoof using an Apple Mac Address?
-
Hi Russell,
the answer unfortunately is negative for me.
Have tried random with Apple 000393 as well as using the address you displayed above in bold. No success for both.
I am using V3.2
Kind regards
Sven

Any updates? I got the same problem on my brand new 2018 MBP
-
No luck yet unfortunately

This issue is still current on my MacBook as of 2/22/2019. Is there any chance of this being fixed, or should I go ahead and request a refund?
Device Info: MacBook Pro 12-inch, 2018
OS: macOS Mojave 10.14.3 -
@PixelGrinch I would ask Apple for a refund...
I don’t have much hope for them fixing what they broke on the new mbp’s unfortunately.
