Trouble converting 5 to 6

Somewhere I list authorization codes and how to use them. They’re gone.;
Installed and paid for 6. Trashed 5. Now when I double click on the app, all I get is a window giving a list of cookies and some editing tools. Not able to get to preferences or use any Cookie commands. In the mean time, Cookie 6 is grinding away in the background so I can’t Quit or Trash the app. Help.
How do I get the authorization numbers, again and do I need them?
How do I Quit so I can start over? -
