it sounds like you maybe have 2 versions of Cookie on your computer?

    Cookie is easy to uninstall:

Quit Cookie Move Cookie to the trash you can also move this folder to the trash:
~/Library/Applications Support/Cookie and Cookie's preference file is here:
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.sweetpproductions.Cookie.plist

If the Chase domain displays any (red) tracking cookies, then what you can do is try whitelisting them.

    This is easy:

expand the Chase cookie by clicking the little triangle. Highlight any red cookies Right-click(control-click) to show the contextual menu Select: "Add cookie to Whitelist" You can (by trial and error - add to whitelist/remove from whitelist) find the cookie(s) which need to be kept.

If that doesn't work, take a look on the Databases tab, maybe Chase sets a database with your login details.

    I almost forgot....
You will need to disable the timer(if it is running) before trying this.

The issue you mentioned is probably why I missed 3.3.3, too busy at the time to resolve it but that is water under the bridge now.

Updating from the download Link you provided worked like a charm, thank you.
    Best wishes,

    I know!
but its not too much hassle to still support it....

If I was going to drop 10.6, I would also drop 10.7 support. but while its still easy, ill keep them all supported.

apparently this issue was still present for users running 10.7,10.8 and possibly 10.9.
I rewrote a lot of the window starting code, and I think i finally have this annoying bug beaten.

So I've uploaded v3.3.3 to Apple for review, and it should be available early next week

I have found a bug where Cookie doesn't start the timer if the Browser is open already when Cookie is started. Cookie only "notices" the browser if it is opened while Cookie is already open..... if that makes any sense

I have fixed this for the next update....

I am so glad to hear this. Thank you SO MUCH. I hope that was the problem. Honestly, my Cookie starts when the computer starts, and I never turn it off... until I have had the problem. (It seems like that anyway.) So, it would seem like Cookie is always on first before my Safari is turned on... but at least that is a place to start, and I will hope this is the solution. Thank you again.

Great! Thanks. Maybe it could have a little more intuitive label?

    In any case, great app!

Ill take a look, maybe the beta builds have changed how they identify themselves. the release version of Opera does definitely work, as I also use it.

just checked. you are correct. Opera Next has changed its identifier,
ill look at fixing this in an update

Which Operating system do you use?
Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks?

The spike will happen when removing cookies, so if you have the timer set, it will occur each time the timer fires. It shouldn't really be noticeable unless you have many cookies.(the more you have, the more work Cookie dies to check each one)

The red cookies are tracking cookies.

ill see if there is anything I can do

More than four days and twenty or so restarts later, and the fix has been flawless. Thanks again.
