    @madinso potentially they could but it is unlikely.
    My site doesn't, that's all I know.

    I personally don't trust FaceBook or Google though... and don't use either.
    (I use Google search extremely rarely)

    @SweetP Hi Russell and thanks for your thoughts. I followed your suggestion but on a restart there was the old user account stuff. I'm really not sure if I shouldn't just hide (by making invisible) those recurring folders to get them off my mind and simply ignore them.

    Thanks anyhow, Richard

    @eagle I had to remove the instructions on Mac App Store version...
    😞

    Cookie is not passing review when I have the instructions enabled.
    🤷

    i'd check your extensions in your browser, you may have installed some without your knowledge somehow.

    woah,
    that sounds pretty extreme.

    Cookie doesn't ask for your password at all, at least not directly. It has some receipt checking code, which checks if your App Store receipt is valid. This may prompt the OS to ask you to login to your account?

    @Rick
    There is no additional cost to enable Safari. It is just a matter of installing the optional scripts, which if you are upgrading from an earlier version - you should already have installed.
    🙂

    For ppl have have never used Cookie, and are purchasing it for the first time (Mac App Store Only) they will need to enable Safari from the Advanced tab in Preferences - which has a link to the optional script download.

    The Mac App Store version, still functions exactly the same as the version from my store... It is just more of a hassle to get up and running because of Mac App Store limitations.

    @quasimagyar try quitting Cookie,
    remove from System Preferences
    restart your computer
    open Cookie
    open System Preferences
    drag & drop Cookie into System Preferences
    check Cookie

    does that help?

    yes,
    that is exactly it.

    when you sync with browser bookmarks - manually selecting favourites is not possible....
    and you would see the behaviour you're describing.

    also, just to ket you know, there is a bug with Safari removals on Mojave.
    I have it fixed now, and will release asap

    Thank you for the reply, I trust you're not siphoning peoples home folders. It's a shame we have come to the point where defiance have to be the default, but too many companies are abusing.
    Anyhow. I preferred the old way where we had to specify the allowed authorisations, though I understand it might have been too "complicated" for a lot of people.

    Have a nice Sunday.
