I found the issue with the HSTS cookies, its working on High Sierra, but is broken on Mojave. It should be fixed in the latest beta

are there tracking cookies in your blog?
if so, you most likely need to whitelist them:

pause any timers in Cookie login to your blog expand the domain in Cookie by clicking the small triangle look for any RED colored tracking cookies right click (control-click) on the tracking cookies select "Add to Whitelist" re-enable your timers

Still hoping for Cookie to let us manage each Firefox profile separately, like it does for Chrome.

I think it hovers around 70Mb on my laptop? I can’t check right now, as it’s in getting serviced.

Hi Russel - well, we can't whitelist all red cookies, right? Doesn't this defeat the purpose of cookie?

Also, I believe Safari history may be the source of these issues.

I always tell Safari to "clear history but keep website data." Even so, when I subsequently try to log into Twitter, Facebook etc. the websites often think I'm registering a new device

Yep, it just happened again. I did "clear history but keep website data" and suddenly Twitter can't recognize my device. I just whitelisted both "ga" and "gat" - are either of those cookies "tracking" cookies?

try a computer restart, that can help with the Full Disk Access errors.

As for the Chase website, try this:

disable the Cookie timer login to Chase expand the Chase domain in Cookie by clicking the triangle indicator if there are any RED coloured cookies included in the favourite:

you may also need to whitelist that

you do that by selecting the RED cookie, and right-clicking (control-click) - to bring up the contextual menu then select "Add to Whitelist"

@nate it is technically possible to edit cookies in Cookie, I just haven't implemented the ability. In the 8yrs I have been working on Cookie, you are only maybe the 2nd or 3rd person to ask for the feature. So its not really a priority for me to implement.
    🙂

the cookie script isn't needed on Mojave anymore, as Apple has changed how the cookie storage works. This change also affects the effectiveness of removing cookies while Safari is open.

Session cookies aren't visible externally for any browser as far as I know.

@SweetP haha no worries, glad the image upload in your forum is working again.
cache is not set to be deleted so I can safely rule that out. it seems cookies are again showing up e.g. I am seeing an entry for this forums URL. I am unsure as to what was going on initially. I think we can consider this solved. I'll ping, if this happens again with another site.
    Thanks for making cookie 😃

these cookies are all saved in the cache, which Cookie does delete (if configured to remove cache) - but Cookie does not show them in its main window.

These cookie will be loaded via websites you visit which access them. for example the gravatar site is a common site used for displaying your thumbnail (avatar) on various websites.

I just saw the icon preload on a new site I visited before the site favicon loaded. I don't think Cookie is removing it - as I also remove favicons regularly in my install. I also didn't see any trace of the default favicon in the Favicon Cache folder

Do you remove favicons while Safari is open at all?
have you tried disabling Cookie for a restart of Safari, to see if the file is recreated

Found a mac system preferences option for spotlight to disable search results in the "bookmarks & history" category, which fixes the issue. Who knows if safari history is still accumulating in this location behind the scenes though.. If so maybe a future cookie update could address this?

You can restore favourites, if you have a time machine backup. You can restore this folder:
    ~/Library/Containers/com.sweetpproductions/Cookie5/data/Library/Application Support/Cookie5

@SweetP Got it eventually. A couple of app crashes, some unresponsive dialogue boxes and a restart later, everything is now working again. (Although I had to reselect all my favourites manually. Thanks for the quick responses.
